I've noticed throughout the board, that some people don't post in code. Here's a little run down C:
You'll find coding in applications, face claims, job claims, some plot bunnies, and other places throughout a site. Most of these request that you 'post in code' which basically means that, if you post in code, others (most commonly an admin) can copy your post directly, without having to quote it, or go to modify the post, only to copy any code you used.
Example:
FACE CLAIM
FELTON, TOM plays DRACO MALFOY
UDFGJDFG, WSERW plays BLAH BLAH BLAH
POST IN CODE!
Yay! A face claim. It's easy to just copy the code and reply to the thread, like this:
LAST NAME, FIRST NAME plays MY TOTALLY AWESOME CHARACTER
But then, when admins go to add people to the face claim, it can be frustrating to have to modify/quote each post to get their coding to add to the face claim, not to mention it's extremely time consuming, instead of just copy/pasting, like they can when posted in code:
Doing this is simple. Much like bolding/underlining/putting an image in a post, you do the same with the word 'code'. There's also a button in the 'add tags' section when you reply to a post. It's in the second row to the right, its a 'C' inside of a box. Highlight what should be in code, and press the button. And now, a code for coding... woah C:
... just remember to close every code that you make, and you should be just fine. Feel free to pm me with any further questions on coding!
