Scribbulus Writing Implements was a shop in Diagon Alley that sold quills, ink, and parchment. It was located next door to Quality Quidditch Supplies and next to an archway leading into Knockturn Alley. In the summer of 1996, the shop was either abandoned or ransacked by Death Eaters. It had a secondary shop in Hogsmeade. Rebuilt under an assumed owner name, it is now secretly operated through a few cover identities by the Ministry Law Enforcement Division as a connection spot for bringing in witnesses and information contacts out in the field instead of obviously in through the doors of the Ministry itself.
Next to the entrance of Knockturn Alley, the shop is rarely full of people, but there is nearly always someone in it as the products are used by wizards and witches everywhere. Selling parchment and ink and wax in mass quantities by order or personal amounts in the store itself, a warehouse in the muggle realm deals in the large scale supply of both shops and deliveries. The individual shop here is run by a young manager for the last two years named Cameron Clark. With two clerks doing resupply and handling customers, Cameron manages the schedules and finances out of a small back office sending both to a lawyer who stops by weekly.
The interior is well stocked and neat, parchment, inks, waxes, seals, and feather quills in large amounts. Expensive quills and fountain pens are under glass at the counter for the more wealthy clients. In the back a single locked door holds a tiny office with two bookcases and a wall attached antique desk. The bookcases show books, but are a wizarding version of muggle revolving shelves holding all the Ministry provided tools and dark/cursed items under work by Cameron. Only unlocked with a special word, the cases hold 23 shelves each and provide a very secure way of hiding the inventory inside a wizarding space interior.
Up a concealed stair behind a cabinet in the shop is a set of three bedrooms and two meeting rooms set aside for Ministry use. Neither type of room have windows and the odd space above is used by the Ministry as a small emergency arsenal for those in the field. Cameron has access to the upstairs but nothing in the cabinet.
