Dracula. The Wolfman. Frankenstein's monster.
Aside from being the monsters from classic tales, these three men were also the founding fathers of Gravesend itself. They chose to create a safe haven for themselves, a town where horror was the norm and nobody had to pretend to be anything less than what they were. People from all walks of life flocked to start their lives anew there, settling down and creating families. These were the first generations to call Gravesend home and over the centuries little has changed. People come and go as they've always been inclined to do, and other than the occasional murder the town continues to thrive and grow.
Recently a new town Mayor has been elected who has chosen to start his career by tackling the problem of Werewolves running amok every full moon -- the residents have yet to decide whether they have any faith in him. In the background, however, lurks something more sinister and deadly, and unknown to the residents. Shadows where they shouldn't be have been spotted around town, but brushed off as tricks of the light or ghosts pulling pranks. Little do the residents know that these are a sign of trouble to come.

Welcome to Monsters! We are a Real Life Horror roleplay set in the fictional town of Gravesend. This means there is no human world; just spooks, ghouls and things that go bump in the night and we're playing out their day to day lives in the town. It is not located anywhere specific - though you can assume we are in the US - and we have no word count either just as long as you try your best.
