Mischief Managed is a Trio Era Harry Potter roleplay. We are currently set in September of 1999, two years after the Great Wizarding War at Hogwarts. We accept original as well as canon characters, and are AU and member-driven. We are looking for members who are excited to plot with everyone! We’re friendly and active, but we are also no-pressure because we understand that real life comes first and is more important than constant posting (though we do appreciate it if you let us know before becoming inactive for a while!).
We hope you’ll enjoy your stay and if you have any questions feel free to let us know in the cbox or in our guest friendly Question/Suggestion board!

Annika didn’t think she was that easy to read, sure, she wasn’t someone who would hide her emotions but she understood that Raphael was reading through her to a certain extent and it made her a little nervous. She never had that sort of…connection if she could put it that way, with someone before. She had been with Chris because they didn’t consider dating at that time and now that he had someone, she too would have liked to have her person but she didn’t know if she was ready for anything. Luckily, if he might be able to read through her, Raphael didn’t seem to question her too much on her worries. She appreciated that. She nodded, agreeing with him there. She had to take time; she didn’t want to make decisions that would ruin her life anymore. That was certain. “That’s true; it’s one of the good things of being magical.” She said with a small smile.
She liked the job so far, even if she was the first person people saw when they came in, most of them were kind now not to remind her on her past. Some would talk of it but she found ways to tell them that she wasn’t interested in gossips anymore. “Sure, besides, I might need arms to help even if sometimes, magic can do the trick.” She responded to him; she didn’t think Chris and Alex would be there for her all the time so it was good to know that she could count on someone else too.

Raphael had no idea what worried her so much. He couldn't tell for sure if it had to do with her situation either. But he hoped he helped a bit. By her expression, he had the feeling she was not too worried about quickly finding a place of her own, or at least didn't seem in that much of a hurry. He wondered if his advice helped her in any way.
He chose to smile at her comment and take that he did some good or couldn't really do better for now. "There's still commute for muggles, but it certainly has its perks." She didn't have to take the Knight Bus. He hoped she was not taking the Knight Bus. She could apparate close, use the floo powder... so many ways to come here without worrying too much about the distance.
He had another smile as she brought up magic. He remembered that she once told him she was muggle-born. It explained why she was always bringing it up, it was not the common thing for her. It was truly magical for her. "You can have my arms whenever you need them," he assured. Would someone read more into it? He didn't intend to, but it still came out that way.

Annika might have suffered a lot in the past but she was slowly recovering. She wasn’t sure what kind of impact she had on Raphael when he healed her and sometimes would wonder if he talked to her because of that reason. She certainly wished it wasn’t pity. It was getting confusing to her sometimes. Then there was her situation with the wizards. She might not be too fond of them yet, but working here at the hospital as the welcome witch was the better option. She just wished they would stop bothering her with the time she had to do with Chris. She couldn’t deal with that anymore and wanted to move forward. She didn’t think that Chris was a nuisance though, but they needed to part ways for a bit. She felt bad for it, but it was for their mental health.
She nodded and smiled a bit at him though, wondered a bit if she should read more than what it truly meant when he claimed that she could count on his arms. How? To lift things up? Oh lord, what was she getting herself into? She paused for a moment trying to come up with the right words without sounding flirtatious or out of place, or misreading him.
“I’ll keep that in mind.” She finally said, thinking it was the best words she could have said to him without sounding suspicious or second-guessing his words either.

He was aware that she was muggle-born, she told him as much. But being a witch, she might have spent more time in their world since going to Hogwarts than she did the muggle world. It certainly was his case. He could handle himself fine, at least he believed so, but there were still so many things that were odd to him, and even more that were just easier as a wizard. Transportation being one of them. And it allowed him to avoid the busy London streets for something slightly further away without thinking he had to wake up at dawn to go to work. Annika would have the same luck if she kept working here.
Maybe it would be good for her also, but he didn't know her too well. Originally, he would have taken her for a city girl, someone who'd enjoy the days of shopping and the bustling nightlife. But she showed him she loved camping and the peace of nature. There was more to her that he didn't know. Still, it did not matter, he wouldn't have suggested his neighbourhood. That would have felt out of place. He did mention she could search all around the country if she wanted, although being closer to London was better, even for them wizards.
His offer did mean mostly help to move out or fix things in her place, once she'd find one, but she could take it however she wanted. He was willing to help her whenever she needed, she simply had to call.
He nodded. He was not disappoitned in that answer, as he didn't expect anything else. He was not flirting and didn't think about it possibly sounding like he was. "Well, I suppose I shouldn't keep you away of your work any longer. You can keep the flowers. And tell me if you find anything good."
He wondered if people properly welcomed her within the hospital. Maybe they should organize something, for all the people who joined in the last one-two years, to gather everyone together. As soon as the thought came to his, he immediately crossing it off his mind though. Many of them would complain and refuse to go and those who would were likely more interested in learning more about them to better gossip around. It was best to leave it at that. And go back to work for him.

Annika couldn't say that she completely hated magic, she disliked the part where they got rid of her wand during the time of the war, and it made her dislike wizards for quite some time but slowly she was accepting that side of herself again and appreciating some of the things that were taking less time with magic than they would had she done it the muggle way. She liked living amongst muggles too though, and she would have to say preferred it that way as to her it was simplier but she agreed to live at Alex's place the time she settled down and she was doing slightly better than she used to in the past.
She didn't think she could get a job that was much better than being the welcoming witch at St-mungos. Besides, she didn't think she was capable of doing much. She thought that it was a miracle that someone hired her when they agreed to give her the job. She almost didn't believe it either but here she was working a stable job and not just being someone's fake girlfriend. People slowly started respecting her despite the fact there were still some who might actually judge her because of Chris the staff here made it more bearable for her.
She smiled at him when he said he would leave her back to work and nodded. "Thank you Raphael, I really appreciate it and I sure will." She said lightly. She did appreciate the gesture even if sometimes it felt awkward.
