Lizzie was looking forward to that evening, she would get to meet with Draco and Theo, the two people back in the day who would understand where she stood and what she was going through. They had gone through similar backgrounds and in a way, made them a Slytherin trio. Lizzie had started making her life living in a place with her friend but still had possession of the Manor and was now working at St-Mungos as an intern. She liked it there as it challenged her brain. She also dated Will which was unexpected for her knowing how she was back then. Though, for an evening, she was willing to put all that aside and catch up with two of her closest friends. They hadn’t done that in months, they needed to do that more often. She took a note to scold them when she’d see them. Life was keeping them busy in such a way. She wasn’t sure she liked it. She felt like sometimes time was running by too fast and was starting to feel like she got stuck on a boring road. Where was Lizzie Baxter, the Queen of the house? She’d have to figure that one out.
She was still wearing an impeccable outfit; she had to live by her standards which were very high. She wouldn’t lower the expectations her friends had of her. Going to the Three Broomsticks reminded her of memories, of where they would chat together or just vent when they were away from their parents’ grips. She wondered how DRACO MALFOY was doing; knowing that he was dating Granger. She did not know that they had similar tastes in dating. She’d have to tease him with that. She was curious to know where Theo stood too now.
She made her entrance, head held high even if she didn’t feel as high as she used to be, and headed towards the boys, smiling warmly at them. It was odd to be free to do what she wanted, date who she wanted. She felt like she wasn’t true to herself anymore even if her mother proved to be supportive of her life choices. Damn her when she invited Will over to her house the other day! “Hey guys, missed me?” She asked teasingly as she sat down at their table. She certainly did miss them!
