Death Eaters have taken over the Ministry. The Minister of Magic has been burned at the stake, and the Wizarding World is now under control of Ares Wentzell, the Wentzell family, and the Death Eaters. Time will only tell just what will happen next.
Almost nineteen years have passed since the Battle of Hogwarts, and for the majority of that time, the Ministry was focused on making the Death Eaters pay for what they had done. Most were not sent to Azkaban, and instead were sentenced to life in a work camp, with inhumane conditions that caused deaths in heat of the summer or in the dead of winter. As time went on, Death Eaters decided that it was time to fight back again. It was time to do something. Ares Wentzell decided that he would head up their new revolution. The start of it was an attack on Diagon Alley over the summer, leaving dozens dead and hundreds injured, and Minerva McGonagall was amongst the dead.
Now, though... the Death Eaters have succeeded in their takeover. Muggleborns that didn't get out of the Ministry fast enough were taken out. Muggleborn professors at the school have been sacked, Muggle Studies has been taken out of the curriculum, and Defence Against the Dark Arts class has become Dark Arts. And this is only the beginning...
