May I offer you a ticket to Kousei Islands?
Tropical beaches, volcanoes overhead, relaxing hotels and spas, beautiful succubi playing beach volleyball, that is Kousei's surface, what tourists see and know. Underneath the tropical paradise exists conflicting factions, from humans that want supremacy on the islands and to drive away all supernaturals, to gangs of werewolves fighting for the control of sections of the city, or vampires that bring strange, ancient technology from the undead-infested Pango.
We don't enforce faceclaims but if you get one we keep records of it so we don't end with thousands of clones, for consistency's sake we enforce anime/manga/animated style faceclaims. While not as high fantasy as LOTR or other medieval settings, it certainly is fantastic, all the traditional races as well as made up ones are more than welcome! Ages are much the same and while the tendency is towards 13+, there's nothing wrong with playing kids or ancient dragons and demigods here.
We don't have a central obligatory plot because that's not how the world works, members make plots, members make factions and places, members play characters living and interacting with all these, and the Islands are shaped by the results of these plots, factions, places and characters! Of course the Staff checks for consistency, but we're very open and unless it's something downright impossible or completely destructive to the Islands, we allow it.
