Stepping out of the office, Vincent pulled the door shut behind him firmly and made a mental note that was one more thing off his list for the day. A check in the air with one finger as if needed to hit an invisible list followed, bringing a smile to his lips. Not needed, but still amusing to him. Turning in the hallway he stepped away from the door and over to an empty classroom door where he turned again for totally misinformation purpose (something ingrained in him since childhood) and he put the scroll in his hands away in an inside pocket for later. A glance both ways before moving slowly down the hall to a window closure as if deep in thought when actually listening carefully both ways.
After all, his family had some big trading as well as dark interests and it would not be the first time he was followed in the school by someone trying to get something out of him which affected his future interests. And while under no contract, there were a number of girls on his list he had checked out who would be possibly future wives. His mother was definitely putting pressure on him out of her own amusement which was typical of her, but Vincent was holding out for someone...different. As yet, no spark had caught his eye as most of those in school were more typical interest then unusual so far as he could tell. Several of which had been interested mainly in climbing the social or monetary ladder and saw him as a definite rung.
While his family had value in both, they had always been pirates so the cards they dealt were close to the chest and well obscured on purpose. More than a few times had they managed some very surprising advances and Vincent had high goals to meet of his own personal nature. More than anything else he not only wanted something personally exciting as much as high intelligence. Not a soul had managed to put themselves in his sights for anything unusual at this point which disappointed him. What was the point of having sights if there was no challenge after all?
A glance out the window and not having heard anything stealthy sounding, he suddenly turned and stepped into a smaller staircase across from the window, slipping an arm over the handrail on either side and sliding suddenly a full flight of stairs to stop on the last one with a grin...
